Accounts and Voting

The purpose of this document is to provide instructions on how to create an account, access user settings, and vote in elections on the new Minna no Anime website. The process should be simple but I have created this document to guide you. If you encounter any issues please tell the website admin and they will be resolved.

The website can be found at https://www.minnanoanime.org/

Creating an Account/Logging in

To create an account or login to an existing account first click on the small button that says “login”

Next, you will see a page that will ask you to either log into an existing account or to create an account. If you already have an account just enter your username and password in the “login” section if you do not then enter your information in the “create account” section. Make sure you use a REAL EMAIL you can easily check as you will need to use it in order to vote. Once you have created an account please message a website admin so they can activate your account. Note: Also be sure to use your real name so the admin can easily identify you.

You have now created your account! Great job!

Voting

In order to vote first login go to “User Settings”.

Once you click on the link you will see the following page. Here you can change your name, email, and password. The first thing you will want to do is verify your email. If you do not, you will be unable to vote. When you do this you will receive an email that will tell you to click on a link to verify your email. It may take a moment to receive your email. If you do not receive it, check your junk/spam folder.

Lower on this page you will see a list of currently active elections. If you have not created a ballot already click “Get Ballot” to get your ballot.

You may receive this error, if you do receive it at this point please reread the voting section from the beginning thoroughly.

You will then get a very long key that will be used for 100% anonymous voting. You will also receive an email that will give you your key, a link and have instructions on how to continue voting. This email is very important as you will have to use it in order to change your vote. Make sure you do not delete it. If you do not receive it, check your junk/spam folder.

Following the link you will arrive at your ballot. There are three voting types this system supports: Ranked Choice Voting, Chose One, and Chose Many. I will not explain how the different voting types work here but I would highly recommend you research them yourself. When voting on a ranked choice ballot for each “Contest” on the ballot, rank the candidates in the order you would prefer then to win that contest with one being the highest (1st place). For Choose Many, select as many candidates as you think are worth for that position. Chose One is the classic voting method in which you just choose the candidate you think most deserves to win. To submit your ballot for each competition, click “save”. You can always go back to that link and edit your ballot until the election closes.

When the save icon is grayed out it means your results are saved. For Ranked Choice Voting, if you want to change your votes I would recommend first setting all your ranks back to “-” as the system won't let you vote for anything of the same rank twice.
