My name is Anne Geraldine P. Baldemor, an undergraduate student of BS in
Architecture at Holy Angel University. In accordance with our Research Methods in Architecture and Architectural Design 9 course, I am conducting a research proposal entitled, "CINEMULI, Awakening of the Famed Film Center of the Philippines: Initiating Sustainability Measures spearheading towards its Development".
Filipinos go to cinemas as a pastime or source of amusement and a reward after a long day. However, with the changing environment, technological development, and the evolving preferences of Filipino consumers, these witnesses to the country’s cinematic history become forgotten and fossilized. With that, this rearch proposal's main objective is to target both lessen the illegal acts of piracy being committed through dispersion of films and expose wider audiences into exciting opportunities which will be achieved through the revival of the famed independent film theatres that will also serve as a hub for the production, conservation, and preservation of old age films in the Philippines.
As this research proposal aims to pave way and benefit the people of Pampanga to give awareness and exposure to better opportunities regarding our diverse cinematic culture, lessen the acts of piracy, systematic oppression and capitalism in the industry and; as well as to provide a center for film artistry and its founding cradle.
This survey would help the researcher to obtain data and identify variables to consider on the targeted research proposal. With this, I humbly request to ask 5-10 minutes of your free time to answer the survey.
