Thank you for your interest in joining the Harvard Graduate Council (HGC)! Our Spring 2022 elections will take place on Monday, April 25th, 2022, 7-9PM, at the Harvard Medical School, in Tosteson (TMEC) 250.

The following positions are up for election this spring:

Eligibility to run for President and Vice President: Per the HGC Constitution, the offices of President and Vice President must be filled by individuals who served as an HGC Executive Board member, Representative, or University-Wide Group (USG) leader during the current academic year (2021-22) or in immediately preceding academic year (2020-21). The President and Vice President must also hail from different graduate schools.

Eligibility to run for any other Executive Board position: You must be a current Harvard graduate student enrolled in a degree-granting program to be eligible to run for an Executive Board position.

Preparation: To officially declare your candidacy, please fill out this form. On the election day, you should be prepared to give a 1-2-minute speech about your qualifications and how you intend to contribute to HGC. You may also be asked to answer questions or debate specific issues with other candidates. You can learn more about the election process, regulations, and procedures here: shorturl.at/fozE1

You may run for several HGC board positions. If elected to an HGC Executive Board position, you are expected to attend all HGC General and Executive Board meetings, as well as fulfill all duties of your elected office.
