TITLE:  Registration for the workshop on Gender Empowerment and Safety at Higher Learning Institutions: “Girls Corner”


Education has a profound effect on girls and women’s ability to claim other rights and achieve their status in the society. Educating a girl is one of the best investments her family, community, and country can make. However, girls encounter a variety of challenges at the universities and higher learning institutions. These include but not limited to sexual harassment and lack of self-confidence.

This workshop was organized by the department in charge of outreach and mentorship in RAWISE and OWSD, to discuss and share experiences on how to address the challenges encountered by females at the universities and higher learning institutions.
